KJ-717 Edge Sealing Tape is an isobutylene rubber-based, self-adhesive sealant that does not cure and is processed with other polymer materials. It offers excellent properties such as waterproofing, UV resistance, and the ability to withstand both high and low temperatures, as well as insulation capabilities. The tape has a low water vapor transmission rate, which contributes to extending the lifespan of photovoltaic components. With its low surface energy, it typically adheres well to glass, metal, and general-purpose plastics without the need for a primer. The formulation is free of low molecular additives, preventing the outflow of small molecules during the lamination process. It is also free of toxic and harmful substances, complying with the RoHS standard, which ensures environmental safety . It is suitable for internal lamination and sealing of solar photovoltaic components, effectively maintaining the output power of products such as perovskite and heterojunction modules .
